A growing trend in celebrity food-consumption, portionpals, is gaining increasing support from celebrities who use the innovative meal services plan to properly measure the amount of food they eat and in what quantities recommended by the FDA.
The meal plan was invented and produced by entrepreneur Paris D’Jon, who claims that many celebrities are users of her meal plan and that the results are not diet-like, but close enough to be considered beneficial to the consumer. The plan is not a diet, but rather a set portion of food modeled after the portion recommendations approved by the FDA, assuring that consumers will not overeat and will not go hungry with this innovation plan.
The popular trend is made up of color-coded food disks for all different types of food, such as chicken, fish, vegetables, meat, bread and pasta that can be used to measure out the correct portion of food and also double as cutting boards for preparation on the go. The disks are used by placing the desired meal choice onto the disk and cutting the meal according to the outline etched in color into the disk, allowing the consumer to eat a properly-sized meal without worrying for overeating.
Portionpals models its system after the company slogan/ catch phrase, “Who needs a diet when you have a pal?”, and stresses the versatility of having a helpful meal plan that does not choose for the consumer what to eat, but only helps to limit their portions. Portionpals has captured the attention of celebrities after being completely sold out in its initial test run.
The new line of meal- planners hopes to combat the growing problem of obesity in the United States and abroad. Paris D’Jon, the company’s founder and inventor of portionpals, has been a consultant for leading stars such as Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey, and 98 Degrees, before switching to his role as an inventor and entrepreneur in his founding of portionpals. D’Jon himself is a user of his own system, having lost over 30lbs on portionpals, and recommends the product to anyone who seeks to remain healthy or lose some extra weight that is barring them from being healthy.
D’Jon calls portionpals a “…very simple concept…” after studying the weight loss industry for several years, and sought to get away from some other weight loss programs offering drugs and exercise as their only means of proper weight loss. D’Jon is done with the music industry and is now ready to embrace his new line of meal-plans and step into the health and fitness industry in order to lead an example of a proper, hassle-free weight loss plan that anyone can use for little cost.
